The new town of Yizhuang in Beijing, located on the west of the start point of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Highway and situated at the main drag between Beijing and Tianjin, is the golden hinge for the interactive development of Beijing and Tianjin. It is also a strategic fortress at the third polar of the Bohai Bay Economic Region.
As indicated in the eleventh five-year plan of Beijing, the new town of Yizhuang plays a role of the key node of the Tow-axis Two-ring and Multi-center mid-east development zone, and one of the new type satellite cities that Beijing will primarily develop. Its positioning is a High-tech Industry Centre, High End Industrial Services Base and International New Town Appropriate for Working and Living. By 2020, the population of the new town of Yizhuang is planned to be 0.7 million and the scale of construction is supposed to be about 100km2. The specific programming, i.e. layout of high end industry development and arrangement, layout of social cause development and public service facility, layout of ecological environmental protection and construction, and layout of comprehensive communication system, etc, which lead the development of high and new technology and modern manufacturing as electronic, automobile, pharmacy and equipment, etc., will be improved step by step. Beijing Economic Technology Development Area (BDA) ---Double ecological platform that generates source power of enterprises
